Tiptoe is a baby tracker built around a single idea: at 3am, logging a feed should take one tap and no unlocking. Widgets and Live Activities are free, the data never leaves the phone, and there is no account to create.
Highlights
01
Idea to App Store submission in under a week
02
Zero network calls — no account, no server, no analytics
03
Widgets free, not paywalled
01
The problem
Every baby tracker I tried put home-screen widgets behind a subscription. That is exactly backwards: the widget is the product. A parent holding a baby at 3am should not have to unlock a phone, open an app and dig through a menu to record a feed.
02
What I built
Feeds, diapers and sleep log in one tap — from inside the app, from a free home-screen widget, or straight from the lock screen. An ongoing sleep session runs as a Live Activity so the elapsed time is visible without opening anything.
03
Privacy by construction
There is no backend. Everything lives in a local SQLite database on the device, so there is no account, no sync, no analytics and nothing to leak. That also means the app works on a plane, in a hospital basement, and at 3am on bad hotel wifi.
